HSE in Exploration and Production

In this course, participants will study comprehensive methodologies and tools in the HSE the HSE area to make them familiar with the necessary processes and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.   These methodologies and tools will be used to improve the safe operational conditions during the exploration and production activities, minimize the risk, actions in case of emergencies, and establish proactive mitigation strategies.

    Day 1

    Occupational Health and Industrial Safety

    • Occupational health
    • Work accidents and incidents
    • Difference between WA and OD
    • Risk analysis methods and studies

    On the first day, participants will learn about general risk analysis methods and studies.  Participants will also learn about creating an occupational health plan.  Industrial hygiene, safety, work accidents, and incidents will be covered.  The day will include a discussion on the differences between WA and OD.                

    Day 2

    Risks and Hazards

    • Risk recognition, evaluation, control, and management
    • Hazards
    • Safety design

    This day will focus on risks and hazards.  The main topics that will be covered include risk recognition, evaluation, control, management, creating an occupational risk map, and hazards.  Accident and occupational disease management will also be a key topic discussed on this day.  The day will end with participants learning about safety design.

    Day 3

    Risk Analysis and Accident Scenarios

    • Risk analysis methodologies
    • Accident scenarios
    • Preparation in case of emergency
    • Risk management integration system      

    On the final day, participants will learn about risk analysis methodologies and accident scenarios.  Nature threats and preparation in case of emergency will also be discussed.  Participants will learn about the risk management integrated system during the final session of the course.

    This course is strongly recommended for production engineers and technicians, maintenance engineers and technicians, or any personnel involved in exploration and production activities.
