    Techlog Formation Evaluation (Quanti)

This course teaches participants how to do basic formation evaluation using Quanti module of Techlog.

During the course participant will learn how to use LogView, Crossplots, Histogram and other plots to visualize log data, analyze and interpret log data.

In the first day of the course participants will learn how to build a Quick Look interpretation workflow. This will be followed by building a detail step by step logs interpretation workflow starting from Precomputation and Fluid properties computation to Volume of Shale, Vshale computations through Porosity computations to Water Saturation, Sw computations. Participants will learn how to use Techlog to perform:

    • a. Vshale computations from different measurements using different Vshale equations,
    • b. Total Porosity computations from different measurements using different Total Porosity equations
    • c. Effective Porosity computations from different measurements using different Effective Porosity equations
    • d. Total Saturation computations from different measurements using different Total Porosity equations
    • e. Effective Saturation computations from different measurements using different Effective Porosity equations
    • f. Permeability computation from Wyllie-Rose and Coates equations.
    • g. Summations computations and reports
    • h. Monte Carlo Analysis

The course will teach how to use picket plot, other statistical tools and several Techlog powerful features to aid and simplify interpretations. Participant will learn how to use Zonation for interpretations by zone.

In the final day of this course which covers both domain and give a refresher on Acquisition Tools physics and logging procedures, participants will learn how to use the Sand-Silt-Clay Workflow method to interpret silty sand and/or clayey sand reservoirs. Finally, the course will end by introducing participants to the world of multi-well and multi-zone interpretations.
