Sewage System
Sewage treatment includes physical, chemical, and biological processes to remove contaminants in waste water and sewage streams. Its objective is to produce an environmentally safe fluid waste stream and a solid waste suitable for disposal or reuse.
In this course participants will be exposed to typical sewage treatment systems through the use of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) drawings and the types of initial treatment systems used in industry. Participants will also learn about the processes and systems used to treat and dispose of sewage once it has been through the initial treatment process. The health, safety, and environmental issues will also be discussed.
