Petroleum exploration and production blended-learning class (PEP)
Course description
A three-day blended-learning class that describes the life cycle of the reservoir from formation of the hydrocarbon through how the oil and/or gas is trapped in the reservoir to the exploration process. This is followed by reservoir appraisal, development planning, execution of the plan, and, finally, production operations. It is an excellent introduction to the upstream petroleum industry.
The course content is drawn from the NExT CBT title EPI (Exploration and production interactive). The blended-learning experience includes questions and answers from EPI, multimedia animations, exercises, videos, class discussions, team presentations, and interactive challenges.
Relevant concepts and topics are integrated into the overall life-cycle framework of the course. Disciplines covered include geology, geophysics, petrophysics, reservoir engineering, economics, drilling engineering, and production operations. The class is delivered according to our open class schedule or on site at your location.
