reservoir scale sequence stratigraphy & depositional systems
Course Description
This course contains two components: A two-day course entitled “Siliciclastic Reservoir Sedimentology which should be taken before the second three-day course entitled “Applications and Concepts of Sequence Stratigraphy”. Taken together as a five-day Program, these courses describe the processes related to sequence stratigraphy and depositional systems at the reservoir level. The course will review basic processes and will develop criteria for identifying these reservoir and seal couplets from core, outcrop, and wireline data.
Audience
- Exploration and development geologists, geophysicists and reservoir engineers who need essential understanding of reservoir and seal facies, geometry and architecture and who also need to understand the basic concepts and applications of sequence stratigraphy.
