e-learning and distance learning
Exploration and production interactive (EPI)
This 20-hour computer-based training (CBT) course, which is available on CD-ROM or for launch from a learning management system (LMS), describes the life cycle of the reservoir from formation of the hydrocarbon through how the oil and/or gas is trapped in the reservoir to the exploration process. Reservoir appraisal, development planning, execution of the development plan, and, finally, production operations follow. This course is an excellent introduction to the upstream petroleum industry.

Petroleum economics interactive (PEI)
This 8-hour CBT course, which is available on CD-ROM or for launch from an LMS, presents the concepts of petroleum economics and risk analysis. Topics covered include cash-flow basics, revenue, expenditure, fiscal systems, risk analysis, and investment analysis.

Well control interactive (WCI)
This 9-hour CBT course, which is available for launch from an LMS, covers the fundamentals of well control; discussion of well control terms and equipment; well control situations and how to handle them; and understanding, avoiding, and managing well control problems.
