NExT wins third consecutive Getenergy Education and Training Provider of the Year Award

June 17, 2015

NExT, Schlumberger’s oil and gas training and competency development business, was recently voted Getenergy’s 2015 Education and Training Provider of the Year Award. This marks the third consecutive year in which NExT has received this recognition, a true testament to the quality and effectiveness of the oil and gas training and competency development provided by the organization.
"It’s always inspiring to be recognized as the industry’s training provider of the year, particularly when voted by the attendees of our courses,” notes Keith Jesudasan, Vice President and Managing Director of NExT. “Winning this award for three consecutive years reinforces our belief that we have created the right mix of offerings to help develop competency for professionals in the oil and gas industry.”

Getenergy, an independent facilitator of a global marketplace in education and training for the oil and gas industry, sponsors the annual award event. The Education and Training Provider of the Year Award—voted on by the public and not a panel of judges—is given to the company, college or university that has consistently developed and delivered industry-leading programs.

NExT, which was first launched in 2000, instructs more than 10,000 technical experts each year in 11 core disciplines—from characterization and exploration through development and production—as well as in industry-leading, proprietary software applications, including the Petrel E&P software platform.

“Being recognized as the 'Education/Training Provider of the Year' reinforces the fact that NExT is the industry's trusted partner for training and competency development. NExT training programs meet industry objectives and support oil and gas companies in their strategic growth," says Maurice Nessim, President of PetroTechnical Services. "It is our commitment to continue to deliver the industry’s most comprehensive programs and continue to exceed client expectations."
