May 30, 2016

NExT, Schlumberger’s oil and gas training and competency development business, was recently voted a winner of ‘Localization Award’ at Getenergy’s Global event in London. This marks the fourth year consecutive win of awards for NExT, a true testament to the quality and effectiveness of the oil and gas training and competency development provided by the organization.
"It’s always inspiring to win, particularly when voted by the attendees of our courses,” notes Keith Jesudasan, Vice President and Managing Director of NExT. “Since last two years we have focused our efforts toward supporting local education through PetroChallenge and other training initiatives and programs that helps industry and education develop partnerships and achieve sustainable, long term benefits for society and the wider economy”.

Winning Localization Award this year reinforces our belief that we have created the right mix of services and offerings to help localization and develop competency for professionals in the oil and gas industry.”

Getenergy, an independent facilitator of a global marketplace in education and training for the oil and gas industry, sponsors the annual award event. The Localization Award—shortlisted by a panel of judges and then voted on by the public—is given to the company, for its contribution in supporting local education and supply chain capacity building.

NExT, which was first launched in 2000, instructs more than 15,000 technical experts each year in 11 core disciplines—from characterization and exploration through development and production—as well as in industry-leading, proprietary software applications, including the Petrel E&P software platform.

Having being recognized as the organization which contributes to local capacity building reinforces the fact that NExT is the industry's trusted partner for training and competency development. NExT training programs meet industry objectives and support oil and gas companies in their strategic growth. “It is our commitment to continue to deliver the industry’s most comprehensive programs and continue to exceed client expectations", added Keith.
