Kinetix Shale Hydraulic Fracture Design - RILS (Remote Instructor Led Series)

This is a Remote Instructor-Led Series (RILS) training. Remote classroom delivery is a modality that takes advantage of the instructor-led training content while allowing the same content to be delivered remotely.
All training sessions will be delivered online with no face-to-face classroom attendance.

Kinetix Shale* engineered stimulation design is built on the industry-leading Petrel* E&P platform which links reservoir characterization, stimulation, and production simulation and helps optimize completion designs in conventional and unconventional reservoirs. In addition to the conventional planar fracture simulation models, the unconventional fracture simulation models such as UFM (Unconventional Fracture Model) and the wiremesh model are incorporated into the software to simulate complex hydraulic fracture networks.

Kinetix Shale, therefore, enables optimized completion design which helps in maximizing production performance and improved ROI in tight sand, shale, and conventional reservoirs.

The course will be delivered in eight (8) sessions lasting ~ four (4) hours each. An intensive agenda also implies homework after each session. Hence full-time commitment is expected from participants.

Each student will need the following to attend:

    1. Windows-based PC*
    2. USB Headset
    3. Internet Access capable for 720HD video-streaming
    4. Second monitor or tablet (highly recommended)
    5. Webcam (highly recommended)

*Hands-on exercises will be performed using locally installed Petrel and Eclipse software; hence client machine must satisfy min. requirements. Alternatively, practical sessions can be accessed through DELFI Cloud Environment (subject to availability).
