    First Aid & CPR

    Course Objective

    • First aid training for employees is vital to ensure proactive safety measures are in place at your organization. A safe workplace breeds better productivity and avoids preventable losses of manpower and vital man-hours.
    This First Aid & CPR qualification will help you to:
    • Preserve life
    • Prevent the escalation of illness or injury
    • Promote recovery
    • Provide pain relief
    • Protect the unconscious
    The following points shall be discussed in the course:
    First aid helps to deal with injuries and accidents by:
    • Helping to keep injured victims in less pain before professional medical help arrives
    • Providing essential items to treat injuries with minimal effect before consultations with a medical expert
    • Stabilizing accident victims before they can access other healthcare services
    • Assisting with the proper positioning of accident victims to lessen the effects of an accident
    • Providing support for easier breathing and resuscitation before access to professional healthcare
    Activities
    • Classroom with Theoretical and Practical Implementation with some first aids steps (for example the correct use & removal of gloves to avoid contamination, the correct use of bandages, and bleeding control)
    • CPR Practice for Infants
    • CPR Practice for Adults 
    • Videos & case studies on actual first-aid incidents 
    Requirement:
    • Pass the Quiz (Written exam assessment)

    Session 1

    • Introduction
    • First aid basics: duties, roles, and Responsibilities of First Aid Rescuers
    • Medical emergencies: Breathing Problems, Choking, Allergic Reactions, Heart Attack, Fainting, Diabetes, Stroke, Seizure
    • Injury emergencies: External Bleeding, Wounds, Internal Bleeding, Head, Neck, and Spinal Injuries, Broken Bones and Sprains, Burns, and Electrical Injuries
    • Environmental emergencies: Bites and Stings, Heat Related Emergencies, Cold Related Emergencies, Poison Emergencies
    • Activity:  Group Exercise & Videos
    Season 2
    • CPR and AED: CPR and AED for Adults, How to Help an Adult with an Opioid-Associated Life-Threatening Emergency
    • CPR and AED Continued. CPR for Children, CPR for Infants
    • Preventing Illness and Injury
    • First Aid Resources
    • Activity: General demonstration of CPR & individual implementation for CPR for each candidate/ Individual assessment - CPR
    Season 3
    • Quiz – Written exam assessment (if applicable)

    • Anyone interested in First-Aid and CPR
