This is a Remote Instructor Led Series (RILS) training. The remote classroom delivery is a modality that takes advantage of the instructor led training content, while allowing the same content to be delivered remotely. All training sessions will be delivered online with no face-to-face classroom attendance.
The Petrel Property Modeling learning experience focuses on the fundamentals of reservoir properties modeling in the Petrel™ subsurface software. The course covers basic Geostatistics, Data preparation and Data analysis workflows, Facies modeling and Petrophysical modeling techniques.
You will learn different methods to use the data available for field studies and generate realistic property models, conditioned with your conceptual knowledge of the field and secondary data.
The first part of the course covers the usage of basic geostatistical tools, well data preparation and preprocessing steps, through Data analysis. Then, you will explore the Facies modeling and Petrophysical modeling workflows using stochastic methods, as well as deterministic methods. You will also learn how to integrate your Data analysis results, conceptual field knowledge and secondary data to obtain optimal results for Reserves estimation.
The Petrel Property Modeling - RILS course will be delivered over a total of twenty-four (24) Hours; i.e. in five (5) sessions lasting 4.5 to 5 Hours each.
Each participant will need the following for an optimal experience of the course:
Customize your own learning journey and track your progress when you start using a defined learning path.
In just few simple steps, you can customize your own learning journey in the discipline of your interest, based on your immediate, intermediate and transitional goals. Once done, you can save it in NExTpert-the digital learning ecosystem-and track your progress.
ExploreDevelopment and exploration geologists, geophysicists, geochemists, petrophysicists, petroleum engineers, managers, reservoir engineers and technical personnel with prior experience in Petrel.
Petrel Fundamentals course or equivalent Petrel experience.
