Develop measurable skills and capabilities
This course is an introduction to general Well Stimulation focusing Matrix Acidizing and Hydraulic Fracturing Design Methodologies and Quality Control Processes at Basic level. Formation Damage mechanisms are discussed as an introduction to Acidzing. Hydraulic Fracturing is presented as a process to increase productivity of wells in tight formations. Both methods are explained in sandstones and carbonates formations and numerous exercises are included to facilitate the comprehension of concepts and their practical application.
Upon completion of the course, Participants will be able to establish Operation Objectives and discuss with Service Companies the full Design-Execution-Evaluation processes.
