This course will provide participants with the knowledge necessary to understand and enhance their mechanical aptitude in the area of dynamic pumps.
The purpose of this course will be to develop in participants a working knowledge of the different types of dynamic pumps. These pumps are a specific design of pump that are used in a low pressure high flow style system, as well as many other forms of low pressure high flow applications and different procedures associated with operation and installation of these pumps. With the completion of this course, participants will be equipped with the basic knowledge required to install and repair dynamic pumps
Technicians are required to have a firm technical comprehension in regard to dynamic pumps, understanding the different types, as well as the applications of these pumps. The technicians that participate in this course will be better equipped to repair, maintain, install, and commission dynamic pumps and their related systems. This in turn will promote safe and efficient productivity of the systems. With further on-job training and experience these technicians will be able to attend more advanced training in their area and therefore enhance the maintenance team’s capabilities and knowledge.
This course is mainly targeted to mechanical technicians working in the field as an introduction or refresher. The course can also be applicable to employees working with equipment purchasing, procurement, storage, and job planning, as well as immediate supervisors to the working technicians.
Participants taking this course should have taken some form of technical or mechanical awareness course. It is important that trainees attend this course prior to attending Positive Displacement Pumps, Compressors and Dynamic Compressors. The theories learned in this module will assist the trainee in further understanding pumps and compressor theory.
