Subsea wellhead systems are made up of wellheads mounted on the seabed that are connected by piping systems. Considering the environment in which these systems are installed, they are comprised of highly reliable hardware components to ensure the integrity of the systems. Subsea systems also require high integrity power systems which ensure that the proper levels of energy are provided to operate the subsea wellhead hardware. This course will provide participants with the necessary knowledge to demonstrate the principles of subsea wellhead systems and associated equipment.
Course attendees will learn how subsea wellhead systems are developed and how the hydrocarbons are gathered and brought to the surface for collection. They will become familiar with the power and control systems used in subsea wellhead systems and will be exposed to the various parts used to connect multiple subsea wellheads.
Participants will learn about the operation of the subsea wellhead and the christmas tree, as well as learn about managing risk and making subsea wellhead systems more reliable.
This course is mainly targeted to process operators, process technologist laboratory and maintenance personnel, immediate supervisors to the working technicians, as well as employees working with equipment and materials purchasing, equipment procurement, and job planning.
Participants should have some recent exposure to subsea wellhead terminology.
