    CO2 Storage Coupled Geomechanical Simulation (CCS/CCUS Academy)

    This course covers the workflow, the best practices, and hands-on competence in geomechanical coupled simulation for CCS/CCUS projects. This course aims to introduce the workflow and best practices on geomechanical modeling and coupled simulation to evaluate the long-term containment integrity of the CCS projects. The course attendees will have a chance to a real CCS project datasets to conduct hands-on exercises to build the 1D/3D geomechanical models and conduct 4D coupled geomechanical simulation, analyze the simulation results, and assess the containment risk of CCS projects before the injection, and conduct history match during a CO2 injection operation, and predict long-term containment of the projects.


    At the end of this course, the attendees should understand the workflow and best practices of geomechanical coupled simulation and develop adequate competence in conducting the actual projects with Petrel/VISAGE
