Corrosion Monitoring and Inspection

Level: Skill | Type: Classroom | Discipline: Surface Facilities Engineering

Corrosion Monitoring & Inspection equips participants to recognize common corrosion mechanisms in oil, gas, and utilities facilities and to quantify corrosion rates using field data from coupons, electrical-resistance probes, and electrochemical (LPR/ELP) instruments. Through hands-on interpretation of chemical analyses, hydrogen/patch and sand probe data, and the selection of fit-for-purpose visual and NDT techniques—including alignment to companies' visual inspection requirements—learners will design effective monitoring programs and make defensible integrity decisions.
