    Environmental Management and Pollution Control

    • Management and control of environmental aspects is the core of this course which modified as the work requirement for staff in oil & gas and petrochemicals industries that require the basics of environmental management and pollution control knowledge.
    • Technical staff like operational staff, engineers, supervisors, project managers and also entry level HSE professionals shall attend the course as their nature of work requires that.
    • Also, cover supportive program for anyone new to the industry with no prior environmental knowledge.
    • Aspects of NEBOSH Environmental Management will be covered in addition to practical sessions & case studies and give a basic of:

    • Identify sources of energy and consider energy efficiency

    • The effectiveness and limitations of EIA systems
    • Basic skills in the reading, understanding and evaluating EIA reports
    • Ability to critically evaluate the performance of EIA process

    • Petroleum industry and wastes  & Hazardous wastes management system 

    Session 8 – EIA process

    • Risk communication and environmental monitoring
    • The environmental impact assessment (EIA) process
    • Planning and management of EIA studies.
    • Impact prediction: assessment and evaluation, mitigation and compensation

    Public participation, decision-making and EMS & a Strategic EIA. Field trip and case studies and Exercise

    Day 5

    Session 9 - Workshops

    • Practical environmental audit workshop
    • Future developments in the environment ( 4 Breakouts) 

    Session 10 – Environmental Emergency Preparedness

    • Emergency plan, organization chart and Emergency tools
    • Spill control tools
    • The environmental auditors, prospective environmental auditors, and environmental managers.
    • People assigned to implement an EMS practically e.g. Environmental Managers, Quality Managers, Health & Safety Managers, Consultants.
