These 5-days is a Remote Instructor Led Series course. The first part of course discusses Formation Damage mechanisms and types of damages related to mechanical flow restrictions and turbulence. The second part of the course is dedicated to formation damage mitigation by chemical reaction of acids in sandstones and in carbonates. Chemistry of these reactions is explained, as well as the types and concentrations of acids used and the effect of stimulation additives. Acid Fracturing is also discussed, explaining the objectives of the technique, and their limitations, and the types of acid used.
A 1st Day Quiz will enable the instructor to select the most adequate approach, focusing on the explanation of the most important knowledge gaps, and a Last Day Quiz measures progress during the course.
Numerous exercises are included in the course to enhance learning.
