This 5-day foundation course builds practical competency in the operation and maintenance of onshore pipeline systems across their lifecycle—from planning, construction, and hydrotesting to day-to-day operations and integrity management. Participants explore pipeline components and station facilities (valves, pumps/compressors), hot tapping and stopple techniques, pigging programs (utility and smart pigs), corrosion fundamentals and control (internal/external, inhibitors, CP), and coatings monitoring. The course emphasizes safe operating envelopes, routine and non-routine activities, and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and national regulations.

Through case-based sessions, learners practice diagnosing issues, planning repairs, and applying risk-based inspection and fitness-for-service concepts to make sound operational decisions and sustain pipeline reliability.
