Course Summary

  • A three-day course that provides participants with the basic knowledge to develop and implement an EnMS that meets the requirements of ISO 50001. An EnMS aims to identify and implement energy efficiency opportunities, reduce energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions, and improve their organization's overall energy performance.
Course Objective
  • The participant will be provided with fundamental concepts of Energy Management Systems (EnMS) as specified in ISO 50001. 
  • In the course duration, participants shall gain a wider understanding of different clauses of ISO 5001 EnMS standard requirements.

  • 1. Understand the components of the Energy Management System and its principal processes
  • 2. Understand the approach of the Energy Management System
  • 3. Understand the ISO 50001 framework and clauses
