Practical Flow Assurance Using Transient OLGA Simulation

Level: Skill | Type: Practical Training with Software | Discipline: Surface Facilities Engineering

A hands-on program that builds the ability to diagnose, model, and mitigate flow-assurance threats—from slugging to precipitation of organic/inorganic solids—using transient simulation with OLGA. Participants move from fluid/PVT sampling and solids characterization to multiphase hydraulics and heat transfer, then apply OLGA (including Slug Tracking) to real operating scenarios such as shut-in/cool-down/start-up and well–flowline–riser depressurization, plus gas-condensate pipeline behavior (steady state, turndown, ramp-up, pigging). Case studies demonstrate how integrated flow-assurance programs reduce risk and sustain production.
