Subsea Production Systems (SPS) and Technologies

This course gives a rigorous, end-to-end view of subsea production systems—from concept through operations—so participants can understand typical SPS architectures, key design drivers, and overarching requirements before diving into equipment functions, operating procedures, flowlines/umbilicals, flow-assurance risks, and material selection. It then advances into major subsea processing technologies (separation, boosting/pumping, compression, monitoring) and the energy balance that governs system performance. The program concludes with applied flow-assurance (sand, hydrates, wax, scale, asphaltenes), subsea well/facilities intervention methods, and the “digital oilfield” toolset for monitoring, control, optimization, data acquisition/management, and integrated systems—illustrated with case histories

Engineers involved with subsea facilities design and operations or anyone who wants to learn about the evolving subsea facility technologies.

Participants should have a general knowledge of oil and gas production systems and offshore production systems.
