    Course Description

    • This course will provide an informative look at the requirements, interpretations, and practical applications of the quality management principles based on the 9th Edition of API Specification Q1, Specification for Quality Management System Requirements for Manufacturing Organizations for the Petroleum and Natural Gas Industry.


    Day 1
    • Pre-Test

    Day 2
    • Ethics and Standards of Conduct for Auditors

    o This section relates to the ethical expectations from an API-certified auditor including:

    Conflict of interest

    Independence and objectivity

    • Confidentiality and integrity
    • Audit Programs

    o Identification of audit program objectives

    o Development and implementation of an audit program

    o Evaluation of the effectiveness of the audit program

    • Use of the audit program as a management tool to improve business performance
    • Group discussion & Quiz

    • Process auditing

    o   Definition of a process

    o   Advantages of process auditing

    o   Difference between process auditing and other auditing techniques

    o   Use of audit trails in a process audit

    o   Review of audit documentation

    o   Coordinating logistics
