Introduction to Flow Assurance

Level: Foundation | Type: Classroom | Discipline: General

This course develops a practical, end-to-end understanding of flow assurance across the production system—from reservoir to facilities—focusing on how fluids, equipment, and environment interact to create or prevent flow impediments. Participants learn the mechanisms, detection, and mitigation of the major threats (inorganic scale, hydrates, wax/paraffins, asphaltenes, emulsions, and corrosion), and compare conventional and emerging prevention/remediation technologies to select fit-for-purpose solutions.
