Develop measurable skills and capabilities
This course provides a practical, end-to-end understanding of flow assurance across upstream production systems, from the reservoir through wells and flowlines to surface facilities. It focuses on the interaction between fluid properties, operating conditions, equipment design, and environmental factors that can lead to flow restrictions or production downtimes.
Participants will develop the capability to identify, analyze, and mitigate key flow assurance challenges, including inorganic scale, hydrates, wax (paraffins), asphaltenes, emulsions, and corrosion. The course emphasizes both fundamental mechanisms and field-based applications, enabling participants to diagnose issues and implement effective, fit-for-purpose solutions.
In addition, the course explores conventional and emerging prevention and remediation technologies, as well as the role of predictive modeling and digital solutions in proactive flow assurance management.
