    ISO-50001: Training of Internal Energy Auditors

    The Objective of the course is to provide an understanding of the principles and benefits of energy management and of an energy management system (EMS) audit. It will facilitate the identification of energy processes within an organization.

    The course focuses on ensuring the correct application of accepted audit protocols and provides participants with the necessary skills to plan and execute internal audits.

    • Audits of energy systems: terms and definitions, audit principles, competencies and responsibilities of the auditor.
    • Energy review, risks and opportunities, energy goals and objectives, performance indicators.


    Module 2: Energy Culture of the Organization.

    • Context of the organization interested parties, policies, objectives.
    • Energy culture of the organization: stages of development.
    • Resources, competences, communications, documentary control of the SGE.
    • Leadership, functions, roles and responsibilities.


    • Practice: Application of the audit tool - Chapters 4 and 5 of the ISO 50001:2018 standard - Proposal for Corrective Actions.

    • This course is recommended for anyone planning to perform internal audits / preparing to become an external auditor of energy management systems.
