    Course Objective
    • Facilitate change in the management of Safety, Health, and Environment to create the Organizational Preventive Culture through the development of competencies of Transfer Promoting Agents (TPAs).
     Activities
    • Classroom with Theoretical and Practical Implementation.
    The following points shall be discussed in the course:
    • The Maturity Levels of the Safety, Health, and Environment Culture and how they are reflected in organizational performance. 
    • HSE Preventive Culture: Tools for diagnosis, analysis, development, and dissemination. 
    • Transfer Promoting Agents (TPAs): their importance in the dissemination of preventive culture and the skills they must develop to fulfill their functions.
    • The civil, criminal, and administrative consequences of failure to comply with safety, health, and environmental legislation.

    Module 1: INTRODUCTION, BEGINNING THE PROCESS OF CHANGE.
    • What are the causes of accidents at work? 
    • Analysis of the evolution of preventive models 
    • What is Safety Culture or Preventive Culture? 
    • Why is it important to work on culture? 
    • Starting the change. 
    • Analysis and diagnostic tools.

    Module 2: MANAGING CHANGE. 
    •  SST leadership training 
    •  Coaching and Awareness in leadership • Prevention circles 
    •  Safety corners One Point Lesson (OPL) 
    •  Risk-improvement Photography Techniques; 
    •  Opportunity token and upgrade tokens 
    •  Visual security management, security panels.

    Module 3: LEADING CHANGE

    • Preventive Security Observation Practices (OPS): allows us to know how things are done in our organization at a security level. 
    • Behavioral safety visits 
    • The Safety Walk and its usefulness in leadership. 
    • Human performance programs to identify a task or set of tasks with a higher probability of committing errors. 
    • The Positive Observations Program its objective and functionality. 
    • Safety, Health and Environment ambassador programs: they help promote the Preventive Culture from the leaders, by disseminating the existing Safety, Health and Environment  standards or rules in the company.

    Module 4: INTEGRATING CHANGE IN DAY-TO-DAY

    • The Safety Point Tool and its usefulness for the integration of a preventive culture in the company. 
    • The “Security Pause” tool This tool is not only useful from a security perspective, but also helps to guarantee aspects related to other disciplines such as quality. 
    • How to apply the methodology of "Lessons Learned", which are the lessons learned after the investigation of an accident or incident. It is about extracting learning not only from accidents, but also from incidents. 
    • Exploring the power of the “5 minutes talk” tool or short prevention talks.
    • Use and abuse of risk and incident warning cards 
    • Applying Positive Recognition with Safety Incentives.
    Module 5: LEGAL RESPONSIBILITIES FOR RISK PREVENTION. 
    • Environmental damage 
    • Damage in occupational risk prevention (occupational accident and occupational disease). • Civil, criminal, and administrative responsibilities for the damage in occupational and environmental risk prevention.
    • Sanctions, fines, and responsibility of the officials of the client.
    • Conclusions and review of individual work plans.

    • Safety, Health, and Environment staff and personnel from the operations who are  responsible for the implementation and dissemination of the Preventive Culture.


    • Safety, Health, and Environmental Culture: Background, maturity levels, diagnostic, implementation and dissemination techniques, and tools.
    • Process of Development of the Preventive Culture: Techniques and tools.
    • The visibility of leadership,  commitment, and responsibility of each person in the Preventive Culture.
    • The Agents Promoting the Transfer of Preventive Culture.
    • The legal responsibilities in Safety, Health, and Environment.

    • 3-5 years of oil & gas exploration & production experience in HSE and operations.
