    Material Cataloguing Specification and Storage

    Course Description

    • In many companies, spare parts stock represents a major investment which should ensure that the right parts are always available when needed. However, in reality, this is not the case and companies find that they have too much capital tied up and that equipment is stopped waiting for a spare.
    • This course is aimed at assisting delegates to develop skills and competence on how to establish and maintain a comprehensive materials and product catalogue to support business and operations covering all operational, maintenance and support activities. Skill set on how to ensure timely supply and services of the right products from the right sources will also be covered. Delegates would be able to equip themselves on how to categorize and integrate the master product catalogue into the User’s Parts list of equipment/plant and machinery including production, maintenance and construction materials list. This course will also provide delegates on how to effectively maintain records related to products, standards, specifications and certifications to ensure the prompt provision of information including statistics and exercises related to the master catalogue.
Upon the successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:-
    • Apply the latest techniques in material cataloguing and determine the various specifications of engineering materials
    • Identify the various specifications of metallic and non-metallic materials
    • List spare parts and manage inventory and stores in a professional manner.
