    NEBOSH International Technical Certificate in Oil and Gas Operational Safety

    Activities
    • Classroom - Listening and contributing to discussions and exercises (group Discussions and quizzes)
    • In addition to the above multiple exam preparation sessions, mock exams and practice on the use of templates for fire risk assessment.
    • This will hugely enhance the exam pass rate from the first attempt for most learners.
    •    Pass requirements:     pass the 2 hours written assessment                                          
    Mode of Assessment: 
    • The written examination consists of ten ‘short-answer’ questions (8 marks each) and one ‘long-answer’ question (20 marks); all questions are compulsory
    • The examination paper covers the whole unit syllabus
    • Candidate scripts are marked by external examiners appointed by NEBOSH
    • NEBOSH uses external assessment for written examinations and assignments: scripts are sent to NEBOSH and undergo rigorous marking, checking, and results determination processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.

    • People from all around the world who work in Oil and Gas and the connected industries. Oil and Gas is a hazardous industry. Managers, supervisors, and offshore and onshore workers need specialist skills and know-how to fulfill their health and safety responsibilities. Learners should already have an underpinning knowledge of safety issues and may already have studied one of NEBOSH’s other qualifications.

    The key topics covered by the qualification are:

    This unit is divided into the following five key elements:

    • Hydrocarbon process safety (1)
    • Hydrocarbon process safety (2)
    • Fire protection and emergency response
    • Logistics and transport operations

    • There are no entry requirements for this qualification,  but we do recommend that learners have an underpinning knowledge of safety issues. This may have been achieved by studying for a NEBOSH General Certificate level qualification. 
    • It is also important that learners have a suitable standard of English language to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.
