Develop measurable skills and capabilities
Process Improvement is a course that covers all the necessary skills needed to analyze processes, improve processes, and create a best practices due diligence environment.
The first day covers process improvement fundamentals including process modeling, root cause analysis, and the PDCA Cycle.
Then on the second day the participants learn about the importance and need of the due diligence process and statistical/graphical ways of analyzing processes.
On the third day the participants learn some advanced topics in process improvement such as quality methodologies, knowledge management, and CMM.
All the subjects are tied together at the end of the course to help participants apply these skills in today’s business environment.
Objectives
The participants will be able to identify the process improvement fundamentals including process modeling, root cause analysis, and the PDCA Cycle. Also, they will learn the seven requirements of process improvement which will walk them through how to create a better environment to change their organization’s processes.
Day 2Objectives
The participants will learn to identify the importance and need of the due diligence process and statistical/graphical ways of analyzing processes so the correct improvement opportunities can be determined. In addition, they will practice using rapid process improvement and using best practices from the literature.
Day 3Objectives
The participants will learn some advanced topics in process improvement such as quality methodologies, knowledge management, and CMM so they can elevate organizational performance. Finally, they will learn how to incorporate this into project management methodologies, utilize outsourcing to increase efficiencies and will practice using process improvement tools.
This course is best for managers or leaders who will be asked by their organization to make or be involved in making decisions.
This course on Process Improvement requires ability to read and write English as well as good English oral communication abilities. Participants will be expected to read at approximately the 9th grade level in order to utilize course materials to develop their skills in this area.
