    Process Safety Management for Executive Management leadership

    Course Description:

    This course is designed to provide the necessary knowledge and tools for executive managers for steering and implementing process safety culture and process safety management system.

    The course content the very basic elements of the process safety systems elements like.

    o Process safety culture

    o Process safety information

    o Major incident investigations

    o Process safety performance

    o Process safety leadership

    o Process safety responsibilities

    o Process safety objectives and targets

    Course Objective
    On completion of this course, participants will be able to:

    o Recognize what good and poor process safety culture look like.

    o Analyze case studies of major accidents from the perspective of leadership and cultural roots to the event.

    o Assess the health of an organization’s process safety systems and the degree of effective management engagement in those systems.

    o Discuss critical cultural enablers to process safety performance, and the critical role the senior leader must drive those enablers.

    Day 1

    • An overview of process safety and its strategies evolution;
    • Impact of Major Accidents on a business, people, and environment;
    • Business, Moral and Legal implications of Process Safety Management. 
    • Overview about "Bhopal Disaster 1984" of major accidents from the perspective of leadership and cultural roots to the event; 
    • The PSM roles and responsibilities of the Executive Managers.
    • Sound vs Weak Process Safety Culture (overview of "The space shuttle Challenger" of major accidents from the perspective of leadership and cultural roots to the event) 
    • Risk Management Process and ALARP Concept; 
    • Process Safety Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). 
    • Corporate Governance for Process Safety Self-Assessment Exercise (Using Online Google Forms).
