    This course is a fundamental introduction to Well Performance and its influence on the selection of Well Completions.

    A well is drilled from top-to-bottom, but completed from bottom-to-top; this course follows the upwards sense, explaining each one of the steps.

    The course starts with the introduction of basic concepts and properties of Reservoir Formation, Reservoir Fluids and the flow of Fluids in Porous Media. Then, these concepts apply to distinguish Oil from Gas Wells, and to their impact in the selection of the type of convenient and most adequate Well Completion. The course discusses the architecture for most common Well Completions, and Artificial Lift Methods, and visits modern completions types like Multilaterals and a state-of-the-art example of Intelligent Completions.
